Den Abreu (They/Them)

A NeuroQueer Counselling Psychologist and Psychosexual Therapist, Psychology Board Approved Supervisor and founder of Haven Psychology, one of Australia’s leading trauma-informed, sex-positive, and identity-affirming and inclusive psychology practices. They are passionate about supervising and training health professionals to enhance their clinical skills by understanding the oppression and systemic barriers that challenge their efforts to support clients with complex trauma and mental health needs.

Elysia Thomas

A neuroaffirming psychologist based in Melbourne, specializing in supporting individuals with eating differences, neurodivergence, and marginalised identities. As the National Manager (Clinical) of Eating Disorders Neurodiversity Australia (EDNA), she advocates for weight-neutral, queer-affirming, and anti-oppressive care while also conducting neuroaffirming assessments for autism, ADHD, ARFID, and giftedness.

Raelene Dundon

An Autistic and ADHDer Educational and Developmental Psychologist, Play Therapist, and Author with over 20 years of experience supporting Neurodivergent children and their families. As the Director of Okey Dokey Childhood Therapy, she also frequently presents on supporting Neurodivergent children and has authored five books on neurodiversity-affirming practices.

 Julia Padgett

Deputy Principal (ELC-Year 12) at Kilvington Grammar, with over 25 years of experience in education. She has held various leadership roles and specializes in curriculum support, professional learning, and action research to improve teaching practices across all school levels.

Dr Tanya Newnham

Tanya is an experienced General and Development Paediatrician with interests in all aspects of child health from birth through to adolescence. Tanya has a special interest in behavioural and development paediatrics, including autism spectrum disorders and is a member of the Australasian Society for Developmental Paediatrics (ASDP).

Tanya initially trained at the University of Nottingham in the UK before migrating to Australia in 2002. Tanya completed her paediatric training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, gaining her fellowship in 2009. During training, Tanya has worked in a number of specialist clinics including unsettled babies, sleep, behaviour, ADHD, learning difficulties and encopresis/enuresis clinics.

In addition to working in private paediatrics, Tanya is the Clinical Director of Paediatrics at Eastern Health, managing the paediatric units across Angliss, Maroondah and Box Hill. She works as part of a team at Box Hill Hospital, managing acute paediatric presentations and patients with eating disorders. Tanya has a passion for teaching and supervises medical students and junior doctors.

Emma-Rose loves the variety in her role. To highlight her areas of practice, she currently:

  • presents to schools, local community groups, at conferences and seminars
  • works closely with schools to support both educators and students.
  • assists workplaces to better understand mental health and to better engage and support neurodivergent team members
  • ALL with a particular interest in creating a neuro-diversity affirming community, where difference is celebrated and understood.

As the director of Spectrum House Psychology, Emma-Rose Consulting and Co-Director of the Paediatric Health Collective, she has been working in this space for 20+ years, both in Australia and abroad.

Although her work is naturally grounded by science, it is designed to be interactive, engaging, and even a little fun!

Mental health can be a heavy topic and Emma-Rose aims to present information in an easily digestible manner, that at heart is applicable and user-friendly.

When not working in the mental health space, Emma-Rose has a love for parenting her two sons, camping, and ultra trail running.
